Eden Murray
Eden is an artist, poet, nature lover, and sensuous walker. They grew up on Coast Salish Territory swimming in salty bays and singing to semi non existent sailors atop sand dunes and under cedars.
Today, Eden creates art that evokes the elements of design in rustic and folklore-mystic ways. Recently, they bought a boat called China Cloud, of which the series we carry centers. This vessel was built in 1982 by their great great aunt and uncle, Allen and Sharei Farrell. You can read more about Eden's journey fundraising the restoration of this Chinese junk Rig Sailboat, and reconnecting it to artistic vision and community action at edengrace.ca/china-cloud.
In a life of weaving with friends, lino printing, learning small bits and pieces of gaelic, doing qi gong with family on Quadra Island, and munching on nettles, Eden finds particular joy in the dance of integration that their work holds space for, and can inspire in others.
