I still get excited each time I dip my brush into paint and start to create.
Esther Sample spent the better part of 10 years as a commercial fisher. being inspired by the beauty of the BC coast. My work is mainly coastal seascapes including boats and people working on the water, wildlife, beaches and surf in a realistic style.
In the mid 90s, Esther started painting as a hobby, looking for a creative outlet. She started with watercolours then moved into acrylics for several years. Recently, as of 2014, she began painting oils and is feeling very comfortable and excited to stay in this medium for some time to come.
I am inspired by the intricacies of the beautiful coast I live on and wish to share my view of it.
