The Raven Series 2023:
This series of Papa, Mama and three young ravens was inspired by a family of ravens that lives around my house. They have been here for four years. The mother and father roost (do raven's roost?) in the barn behind my house and nest elsewhere. Once the young ravens are big enough they bring them to the barn every evening. The young ravens usually perch in the trees around the barn and watch their parents. Occasionally one of them will brave the dark entrance to the barn. Last year a juvenile fell out of the nest before it could fly. The parents were visibly upset and loud! One of the parents was incredibly protective and watchful. They continued to feed this raven on the ground. Several days later it made it to the top of a tree!
