Bob McLeod & Shannon Proctor-McLeod

I started learning about glass in 2004, and have been "playing" ever since, says Bob.

Shannon soon followed in 2006, and they have been working collaboratively ever since!

Working out of their own studio Fiasco Glass, they revel in the immediacy of glass: once you start a piece, you have to finish it. There is no stopping for tea, or throwing a damp towel over it to resume another day. It needs doing now, they both exclaim.

A stray drop of sweat, an errant breeze, a moment of inattention while reheating, can lead to disastrous results, or floor models, as we call them, says Bob.

Together this pair of glass artists create both functional and decorative pieces, from  glasses
and vases to delicate wall hangings.

The larger pieces offer a unique opportunity in design and engineering.

While Bob makes the individual components, it is Shannon's eye and imagination that completes each wall hanging. Treasures for a lifetime!
