Edible Gardens

Edible Gardens
Balsamic Happiness
to drizzle, dip and decorate

The passion behind edible gardens was planted on the west coast of BC in the early spring of 1995 . Using a harvest of common and exotic herbs grown in a local community garden, husband and wife team, Michael and Leigh, created a family business out of marrying their favourite flavours into unique varieties of vinegars and artisan oils. They got their start at the Whiterock farmers' market, but before long, their products were winning praise as the “local secret” of the weekly market. Soon, orders were coming from as far away as Australia, as tourists, now home again, were craving their fresh distinctive balsamics and oils, true tributes to our native BC agriculture. Soon, the orders outgrew what they could grow, and they began sourcing top quality produce from farmers in the neighbouring Fraser Valley and beyond. Now, with a large commercial kitchen and many deliciously innovative flavours, they still carefully handcraft small batches of product to preserve quality and freshness. All their product is hand filled and hand labelled. It truly is an artisan product from start to finish. Their packaging has evolved, too, from those first days of the farmers’ market and their hand written bottle tags which were a labour of love!. With the design and creation of their distinct handcrafted silver labels for their balsamic vinegar line, and the beautiful silver premium handcrafted label of their Barrel Aged Balsamic, they have created a premium line that is delicious and a true pleasure to give and receive.
